A blog to chart my mental health illness and recovery. Trying to break down the barriers of stigma etc.

I suffered from PTSD and severe depression. This blog charts that but the main point is to show that you can recover.

  1. Hi, thanks for your comment on my blog. I agree Guy… I think we can only hope for people to get over themselves, although I think it may be a while yet. I literally could not believe the prejudice views of the wedding shop owners in the show, it beggared belief!

  2. Hi, I’ve nominated you for the Versatile Blogger award – Don’t feel obliged to do anything more than just accept it as a compliment (and encouragement to get back to the blogging!) Details here: http://vanessa-chapman.com/2012/03/13/the-versatile-blogger-award/

  3. Good for you, I have both first hand experience and also my mum has suffered with severe depression and has self-harmed as long as I can remember. It is important to get rid of the stigma and I believe awareness is growing and people are less afraid to seek support they need. It’s great that you are so open about it, it will inspire others 🙂

  4. I nominated you for a Liebster award, hope that’s ok

  5. Guy….i was a PC with the City of London Constabulary and was on duty the evening of the 10th April…..We were first to respond to the coded warning and I was searching the immediate area for the suspect vehicle when the bomb was activated. This has caused me distress ever since but never talked about it. Would be good to catch up?
