Dance Like No One is Watching. (365)

From the self portrait series.

After yesterday’s very heavy subject something a bit lighter.

When I took this one I was well into recovery. It is simply an expression of enjoying life again. I enjoy dancing, either at a function or listening to music at home. I am a really awful dancer but I still enjoy it. A few months before this picture I would not have even considered dancing. With recovery came appreciation of a lot of things. Quite small things. For instance I remember being moved by the strong scent from the heavy blossom on hawthorn this year. Simple but enjoyable.

The moral is simple and one I have said before. However dark it seems; however awful it is, it will get better.

  1. Reminds me of one of my favourite proverbs; Japanese I believe –
‘We are fools whether we dance or not, so we might as well dance’.
